I was ask to speak at the Phi Alpha Delta (Pre-Law “fraternity) at my undergraduate college.  I was given full discretion about what to talk about and how I want to do it.  So I have a week to come up with interesting topics to discuss with pre-law students.  I was told that I was the most experienced 1L the president knew.  I’ve only taken 2 classes and been in class for 3-4 weeks, but I guess that qualifies me to speak.

Things have already drastically changed as I’ve mentioned before.  I was called twice last week to be asked for legal advice, I’m supposed to speak to a group, and when M and I watch TV he tries to ask me law questions (which is really cute, but I don’t want to think about law school ALL the time).

In other news, I am trying to figure out if I can do a study abroad program that would be in Istanbul this coming summer and still graduate early.  But, I can’t figure that out until I know what classes will be offered next summer and if any will fit into my schedule.  My ideal goal would be to take a 4 hour class, have an externship/clinic through the school, and then be able to get 4 credits from Istanbul.  But I don’t think all of that can be done in one summer. And frankly, I’d rather graduate early than study abroad– but a girl can dream.

I, also, decided to run for class representative.  I have a 50% chance of being elected so I thought it couldn’t hurt to throw my hat into the ring.  I won’t be crushed if I don’t get it, but it would be nice to get involved and also to have that on a resume.

Finally, M’s mom is coming to town on Sunday to take us to a concert and then spending the night.  Which means that I have cleaning to do this week on top of everything else that is involved in a normal hectic week at my house.

Oh yeah, M has started being the one to push to get a puppy!  I had slightly put the subject on hold so I could focus on school, finishing the house, and figuring out my financial situation now that I’m quitting.  So I have resumed the search for the perfect cuddle buddy/guard dog!
